YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. 0 c/ N4 Q: C7 `, e
Job Responsibilities:% R4 E" i" {: P, [( b9 R' D
) \4 u7 D# t$ d. P- M1 Q+ BPayroll:
0 z1 m. x" C* f+ \5 |8 m• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
- S3 H, ?; |+ w/ i' j- L• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll9 j, k* i ]" o3 L1 ^5 e" Q5 S
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records / k; B# E$ F# r4 _! w" D: z
• Input benefit deductions into payroll
! q! ~$ w( d9 l! e. V( P" {0 }
; D4 l7 [* u- t( c; QReporting duties:+ l* b; w: c" a, g* O' Z( |& @
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider/ j% E7 r0 n: ~1 @ r V
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
+ B, x1 ]1 a6 j% W• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s, @/ w4 [1 O% F3 ~2 D! u- F8 }
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority

/ q$ y$ f( X0 j% v {# [& U, w• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
3 X! V# E( g, P9 _• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.! }1 f/ k4 Q3 F" ]
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
0 O. a' V0 F- J6 M% x• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting3 V( O% a: H8 f

Accounts Receivable:3 D! O, c( N& B4 S
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
3 j0 n+ n" |$ ?1 a2 ?• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department; N5 `- c- p1 |( r! j, R% y9 @
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
! y2 B! s7 g# [' P6 i• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

Qualifications:
/ [8 d6 N5 o: u! W1 b, N. O. v, r( Z/ I, `" |0 a8 j
• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP$ q2 x$ O6 M3 b) @
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
' A( d/ x v9 b. Q• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
- q. F7 ~ g' Q/ m3 \! ~• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
\+ k- Y& z( F+ g6 |8 A3 j! d• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work, X H5 _* Q v- [) W* A, G2 N
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
