Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker: F" ?* o, M8 k. \# _

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. , h" k& u T U4 _0 K• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person+ g' P5 R% ], w! {
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
6 h2 D8 _; ~4 J- F8 X+ P2 a• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately& I/ k5 H) R d( _% I5 X6 r! U
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
! U$ z/ S5 D C) \! Y2 ^# A$ X• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
4 d9 i+ {+ f) c5 ^7 G: z3 e% p+ N% f• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents0 Y; L" X0 C Z, O' H
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker9 ^1 n8 c5 o6 s
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
1 X8 z8 [; n$ A w5 c+ a• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events6 ?0 J7 p; `% F4 n) e& V$ f6 P3 @1 i! q
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
1 W# e" G9 ]4 S5 G# u• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person- } F P% x) }) `
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset2 [9 \9 Q# o+ M: a) U1 V7 X
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
; {0 U+ j7 N, \! D4 R) S* o& {• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
1 C2 d2 M: b5 v8 N$ g$ n• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
+ H/ ?5 p9 ?; q6 ~+ b( p' @/ g7 Q• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
. t" T& { u- w+ k( K• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment$ E+ K7 a( B( c" e9 F8 p& }
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
/ u1 O j9 G2 w4 F• Ability to work well under minimal supervision% r6 p$ b! H, E* d5 r7 w
