Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ! \$ `) s) N% t6 M1 s: ~

Key Responsibilities:* p$ r! J7 E, @4 P) B
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
) i$ [+ h4 r- T1 E3 K. j0 A" a• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
! l8 B& x- j0 M% Q: N• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 f+ o, \" I. G: M2 b w# C2 M1 w
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
2 D; e9 y& a2 L: _7 O• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
' b+ F* p1 K2 F8 P• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents% Q! {; W% b/ g1 Q
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

2 B% }" G' S; C8 N9 h5 [* c3 d• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Maintain front counter service files

; C- C+ g* W r% c; q8 y2 e' Q& sKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:/ ?# y: k8 q; m0 M" w! p) C
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
& B% x2 V. [7 `; Z• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
3 `" t: L2 r8 b: j8 `8 ^2 |• Good English writing and oral communication skills) C6 a9 y) J2 R& p6 z
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
6 b4 t- v$ `/ { \, m" I$ U• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:
$ U/ f0 i4 }) C• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 2 B( @7 h, K% g" S4 t k0 x
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
! D/ w2 b M3 E6 H y• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
: U# q: z" E ~3 K1 u* }8 `; G• Ability to work well under minimal supervision0 S/ M' V! t) |# P$ ^" i
; \# m; p. ^! |" j' ~+ W5 g% z% F0 r1 ~' y; C! B2 \' y h
