Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

! C8 t8 l# I% Q4 y6 R* v) Y/ H9 u• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
: z, j! X; L7 ~- [, U• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST5 z+ G8 i: Y" @
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately, L! T8 g' _9 }3 Q/ F: b
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
+ S1 O5 }0 o4 b; F• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
% \* d* b8 V- k• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents6 q9 |/ l" X& b* o
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
; t7 N! Y* o! T3 w2 p; q5 b• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
" [/ b/ x6 I2 U• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters9 v' n j1 `* a/ o$ P Y, d, ]0 f
• Maintain front counter service files

+ X% N/ N9 t6 N) I• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
" J4 W$ X {9 A5 K3 D* v• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset, s, C$ s) @* p6 d
• Good English writing and oral communication skills7 R" T( s' b1 c( |$ M% I. V
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients! R5 G9 K3 f) f* p8 K
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:
% X) ^3 A Q+ g5 O6 Y6 x: e" ^4 ~• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience " [3 y# O& ^+ l* z+ O& v" r
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
6 s& n( ?1 y0 }5 ]. Z; C• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism0 J0 N% b& [/ z/ c' T5 O
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision# I9 e( B: V; R1 x& r; Z% z
