' Q) o. s2 v! T D• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
' _7 _' K% E1 v5 L6 D; t; ?• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
- b! U0 Z9 j4 _# v. P- m, u8 N; b* [• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers8 T2 J1 B- }1 |7 `* }& F U
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams0 o6 P6 e+ f. n6 C- @. z
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
% e' n9 |# C9 `: L% ^/ P• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
3 U5 v' h$ o Q: D) d- A$ n• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools) n9 X/ S/ _- ^- Z
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting8 t5 Q2 v1 W: [- Q1 N1 r
• Mix paint, blend and match colors
$ g8 c& b1 U! f0 P* v• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns

• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation4 d$ }' h( n0 s
• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling/ \1 i9 `5 L6 Z' a' g
Education and Experience Requirements:% ]2 w6 k3 Q: Z( { Z5 |( Q8 q7 `
• Completion of secondary school is required
% |/ C2 ^! Z7 ]$ s) t$ Z• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program
% e# W9 L U9 p% A; [: R4 Zor* w/ q; p0 S" L
A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
. O5 P5 P3 n3 @# x4 R• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
