Job Description:
' s1 t9 W4 m* w6 i4 G# ^" C• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
1 D% z6 _9 b4 ~8 a/ I& c9 A; K4 f• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components, B, C# Z0 O; F i$ d
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers: l3 |& u2 r& Q+ v% G N b5 P
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
+ |, P/ e! {/ e4 ^1 l$ N• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place3 ^2 D2 N8 B& ]# ?
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment+ R i6 q! Y! d
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
8 G: e" K! Z% b: ?• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
$ T/ C! ^4 F7 e" _/ A• Mix paint, blend and match colors8 a4 N( R* L3 K3 H% v" S3 b1 b
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
& r2 G2 x+ s. X• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs( z$ F4 f; S( i3 K8 S6 [
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
- t) w- E; q4 @) ^6 h9 e, a* A• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling

• Completion of secondary school is required
( ?% C- R" e" `) }• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program

A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade & x7 ~* F0 @" l, ~" A A7 K
• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
