Senior C#.net / SQL consultant. 1yr contract starting April 2nd, 2012.

9 {9 o0 Y# |9 Z* h8 F-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
technology;
" N  u% n3 W2 i9 ]/ S5 S  B-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
3 S1 p2 ^  U- M/ O-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
' B/ d; O4 i2 y-        Participate in peer reviews;
2 ~) V7 _7 ~0 a-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
6 l. ^  n7 I7 W2 A9 F% ?1 y, z-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
/ Y$ j; m9 b# x% J6 r' Qdepartment’s change management processes;
/ {& R. W* a8 G, i1 A-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
8 Z9 X# d# P8 A: b) ?-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
. R5 \* ~! s' W5 t0 C- M; _# X-        Excellent written communication skills;
-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
effective delivery of service; and
* y3 ~8 S5 a( r/ a-        Understanding of project management.

A. Mandatory Requirements
(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
$ M: g- i! n  {- Q- A- h. Lfor incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

, n1 ]! w: W- q+ s(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements
" Z: u3 G+ ]: i, {+ w(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

8 f9 K# j% @" u! ~4 X(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
- Infragistics controls
9 S! j9 Z0 f9 ]1 q* }; P2 u- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
" {+ {( F8 Z  M6 ~# Q- Nunit
- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib
4 s( @- Y5 t: Y( q" q9 \4 t& X! f- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
4 Y; }1 S8 D9 z! @( d( U; g7 ~- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
( E; g) F# }$ z8 s6 z/ z1 b& U- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
# Y" c4 o' [* r  x/ v5 _+ a- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
