Senior C#.net / SQL consultant. 1yr contract starting April 2nd, 2012.

In general, key aspects of the role are:
, h5 r9 D! Q6 I1 q( p0 ~-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
3 z" p; u0 V9 _; \1 W: O2 btechnology;
-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
9 r4 E0 O# |9 ?/ B, e2 Z% R-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
& v' C' {, |- Q1 f5 u-        Participate in peer reviews;
5 x6 _5 B8 a6 w+ k% k/ W3 L" \-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
9 z+ R& u& F+ x6 a-        Testing system changes;
2 X4 ~( `( i. d0 q& O! y# h-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
9 Z* U8 ^8 A0 q2 c" F3 N* _department’s change management processes;
' o! _4 X- a; e0 q! `-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
- `1 a6 p3 s4 Y: g4 j8 J  y& S0 W$ A-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
( b% c4 p- S9 T6 S2 z-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
0 E; g6 f, a$ t) M2 T2 S" s! M4 x-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
-        Excellent written communication skills;
* E8 Y1 n( ]2 Y5 w-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
effective delivery of service; and
) k9 Q2 D* d3 @-        Understanding of project management.

(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
$ n5 I9 o: b( Y9 H0 x, @for incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)
5 g6 F6 \* S+ F( Z( F2 Q% c
(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

" [; M8 [% I) Q) i3 s2 ](d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

# n. Q' U& E5 m; B(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

: j3 S4 a* b0 _/ p# r4 d' {/ a: e(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements
(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
- Infragistics controls
- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
0 j& _2 r) M6 n5 o8 v- Nunit
- Crystal Reports

3 Q, E5 C8 B/ O, n/ n9 U- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

# p6 Z3 Q/ y, t* ^2 m; a) [( w$ m(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
( m5 {0 u1 ~; C. |- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
