Senior C#.net / SQL consultant. 1yr contract starting April 2nd, 2012.

In general, key aspects of the role are:
8 h5 y$ k6 f4 |4 j# j' \" {* T-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
technology;
# z. {* p  X" E( Q" r-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
-        Participate in peer reviews;
-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
. O$ V4 h+ ~' x* e) f-        Testing system changes;
# Q+ }& E8 ^+ H/ g-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
" u* j: U7 O3 Z# Zdepartment’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
5 ^: p3 |8 g4 M' a4 X-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
-        Excellent written communication skills;
. G4 W# M- g$ i* j: L-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
) N6 ^. Q/ p  Z/ N* oeffective delivery of service; and
8 k. |$ [. h% y4 c- J-        Understanding of project management.

0 y# `" J4 `$ w/ l9 V3 H: i/ QA. Mandatory Requirements
(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

; t) ]3 s; x; f6 |(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

& K3 i. }( U6 R(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

" H8 ]/ I" y+ U(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements
(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

- Infragistics controls
% q/ U" g2 U2 T3 U- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET

5 \" k6 M) a" Q6 K  w2 S- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib
- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
/ G3 v8 f: h6 @0 v$ v; e- _% ^; R/ l- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
' v0 e0 x+ v3 G& q0 K- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
' {5 [8 o* p; ~8 Y- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
