Description
) s+ w& Y5 y! }Tracer Industries Canada Limited (owned by Tyco Thermal Controls) is now accepting applications for a Senior Human Resources Generalist.
3 `' s2 l3 w6 L8 K% W3 pReporting to the Human Resources Manager, your duties will include, but not be limited to:
8 T. J- N( a! j6 q7 d& O' \1 |•        Encourage and enhance a positive and professional working environment., I1 |* {, }4 O) f
•        Foster positive employee relations through effective interpersonal communication with all team members.
8 C+ S+ [1 {2 a; d" M•        Support the introduction, training and participation in Human Resources related programs, including performance management, ethical conduct and career development.& O( I% D+ Z+ N9 m2 ]( F3 i7 r  c
•        Promote management best practices and provide guidance on employment standards and employee relations issues.
  @' k  w: X2 r+ S% Q/ D•        Research, develop and implement recognition and retention strategies and initiatives. . \+ [# b9 G) W) F/ h
•        Participate in full cycle recruitment process to successfully attract candidates.
: U6 J$ @% ]7 Q) z1 y2 R. S: D•        Prepare required Human Resources reporting (including ad hoc reports, turnover statistics, organizational charts, employee updates, weekly recruiting reporting) as required.. f0 I4 S, l2 h! E) L  b
•        Distribute pertinent information to the Payroll Department and Tracer's benefit providers.
+ q/ w5 F$ w2 d, ?+ N& u: _•        Maintain personnel information for union and non-union employees in Tracer's Human Resources Information System (SAP).# ]8 J6 [% b4 w7 k$ J
•        Coordinate the company group RRSP plan and employee stock purchase program.  D9 l2 N  x4 u9 y5 H; Q
•        Support the development and implementation of company forms, policies and procedures.
* N' y% u, Q! {+ ]- ?% \) f# A•        Attend and participate in departmental meetings.
5 l* X" x. u* @9 R5 b' q/ ?•        Assist with the formulation and implementation of internal training programs.: x: A: E( u5 C: m9 J8 a* A; m
•        Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
( c/ p# y3 X5 O, b* P$ D•        Additional special projects as required by the Human Resources Manager.( \7 ^2 F. P6 n3 }1 T

Requirements:
8 H, z1 s' @2 w: }! `. X  Z' V•        Applicants must possess a high level of integrity and professionalism, as well as strong organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
4 Z7 K/ c9 O* r& x. g; p1 d6 ^- D•        The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in a Human Resources Generalist position, as well as post-secondary education specializing in Human Resources. 8 t0 t" z* R0 X3 t$ J! h& P- v
•        Strong Union Relations experience required.
0 J7 O2 g! H: [* F+ c# F5 j% V& V•        Proficiency in MS Office is required and SAP experience is considered an asset., i* |7 m- a1 l& ?" D
•        CHRP Designation is an asset.
