Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 8 |1 V3 Z2 ]2 P9 d4 T# V

Key Responsibilities:
! S3 V0 `: m, w2 \7 X- M. C• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person0 o" c3 J ^1 L
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST1 h0 H$ N, V( V7 F+ Q+ w- e' F; ]
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
5 }3 g* F0 L' n• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter% R. P* o, A* h" ]4 x( n! ?
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents% t7 V6 x8 C' Y9 O4 e7 K
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker0 j2 [, W& Y2 U% o" J. ?
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events4 i- x9 J; d: a7 n: ~5 K
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events0 z! m+ h0 d, m2 d* G4 g
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
/ [" R# M- ~$ [: D• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
/ d o1 U0 {' D) ~• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person8 j/ K( w7 @. b7 Z/ g" H, r6 @
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
1 J% \! Q0 k* b8 G• Good English writing and oral communication skills
+ U8 j! e; a0 c- }% Y1 J, e• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
9 v" @7 q0 n, q& r• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
1 V( z, ^* c/ w* f( c% k- L. D4 U• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
+ D/ B: H R r4 a. W• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:$ D$ ^! Z1 R4 w% l7 n
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 3 }1 |& _' _+ C/ d& U
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment3 Y/ N7 w& k5 O
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism; z+ n5 p( @4 t" Z. {/ _0 }
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision4 v9 u4 B# @- x1 ]8 w$ \0 B+ ?; a; F
