Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary:
r! I' ] @ n( W4 t2 zWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:+ x+ m! p1 [! s
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
% R5 R$ c/ t6 b( p5 E' F• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST e" t+ i9 Y4 f) u' U$ I! Y
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
' M, _, K, K/ K! B+ m• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter5 K) d- \: G2 E w: r+ r
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents* ^ |- h" h6 j% v' h$ {( E0 `, j8 J
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
3 V5 X. b6 q$ O7 S• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events/ y, [1 F5 O" y" X5 Q) L, i# a- k( G
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:8 Y! B) }0 |0 G: {
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person2 @; q" _2 S$ ] o8 f
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
7 z f5 N, m8 c. |+ c2 ]" C+ s8 b• Good English writing and oral communication skills

% K* ^% V4 u* [6 o$ {& f4 o7 S• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services

. O$ I5 E( N; v/ U( h9 ]• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
8 f" s0 j; [9 E% a• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
4 x" z7 e4 W) f9 [• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism, r( _0 z) f0 T, e' B2 m
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
