Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. + }9 F7 o0 v# x4 H! ^2 x

Key Responsibilities:6 k( q5 ~% `+ m& n: U/ R$ ~
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
5 M% q, ^* D0 ^3 Z G7 E7 D• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST r9 _# }. i7 D4 O
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
5 X: p8 ^5 h8 f# w4 D0 P: z• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
% v6 {5 j) y4 d2 I( I) j9 }& j• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
$ p! ]3 k) g) V4 \• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

( H1 X- Z9 Y; y• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events: {% ` r+ h/ R) b( }
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
, X; n/ |1 e3 J5 O+ D! F• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters0 b c3 \% a. j: L x, a
• Maintain front counter service files' j( d" I1 a, I4 ]) K0 E4 U! v7 M
• Perform general office duties as assigned* S. z7 `2 C0 B$ s( _) i8 C5 ?! M1 n
• Report to ISP Program Manager; y2 r( `1 T+ k' B5 s- q
4 A, _( o" t+ N$ Q$ d2 g, bKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
% l' l0 @$ X% s) t% e2 y* d2 D• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person& P6 u" ^9 b' r4 W& W
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset+ q3 O+ J1 i; ]+ y$ k7 j( \2 p9 v
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
! p1 p2 H" S! D& @• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
& S" ~; @! F" s/ _• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:; k" S0 I& F* B. _2 B. ~3 W0 r
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
4 ^# j V4 l9 P1 @) Q• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment: W r& f9 M( i# N) _9 l2 O
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
+ ~5 e1 ?: O4 g! A• Ability to work well under minimal supervision( l! ?3 i% r7 v$ G1 L4 m+ Z- O) e
