What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in? e# e: ]& N& @: Y8 E% X
Effective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:
# \; l9 i8 S% |1) Any bodily injury or death;
/ C4 D% M2 G: Q2) A Hit-and-Run;
9 q- K" s3 V& L3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;+ K! c1 V1 `$ D2 C) e: X
4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;# ]3 c; }2 K2 B" a, v: o
5) An out-of-province vehicle.

Normally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters. In such a case, the owner could make a report in person at Police Headquarters.
