- submit information for community news

- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
$ _& A( q# K. I8 b/ ?' P5 k. F- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties' Z! ?! P+ q* C/ Z4 x6 x
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties0 B3 c5 u. W- e. E" Q. A+ ^ k
- provide volunteers for various programs ! X5 v/ b8 x, \& x3 A- ]; b7 e6 {
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
) K! P$ V/ r8 w; v- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
7 j! q9 J1 j' E2 W) @- t# E; u- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
/ W: G+ f/ S2 L1 F; c" q- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
. Y2 J# r5 e+ N* S" c" B3 q1 J: u- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
) H: a' A* d0 l- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed4 C3 ?% n; C2 X5 M1 l: p9 o5 w
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed1 a0 J6 K+ W2 R# X. I
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)2 k; |: j( l) [. u- V& K* Z
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
" C* M. a$ {+ i) t- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
. ]% }# D8 T% z1 T8 o- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers 4 p0 f" Z: B F- s. W! M
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
5 ?5 t8 \$ p9 I& P0 `9 x- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

2 [( R! f. }1 v4 H+ dQualifications
. `8 Q; y) C/ c2 b- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
- ~5 p; F/ g& n4 Q! Z) ]3 R$ `- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
1 E* y. S- C6 c! w- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services# i: f- q$ s# [4 w3 I
- leadership skills
0 F7 d7 F' [+ k6 K- management and supervision skills
