- provide volunteers to update membership database) |4 y- X3 ^/ Y& l2 O H9 H
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers3 r( Y! Z1 g2 P/ E' L
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties' m6 ]0 S0 H' h4 k9 R
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
& u( n3 q7 _$ Y% {- provide volunteers for various programs
! S6 J1 A) W5 I; w- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual M8 D* {; U* {
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
# X1 V( L% b: R+ G6 ^, i- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
' w: o$ x/ k- q- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services/ \3 y* k; P' |, p, S! v, E
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
1 N' {% A r( y: }! {7 ~- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
% @9 Y: C8 c+ w! B" b: U8 m3 M- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events , L6 u0 f% \/ _0 W
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
$ H; x( S( A8 ?9 G8 \- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers 4 K: v/ p9 a' ?3 j& u7 k' t1 X
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
% y2 v" V& E# Z- P- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

5 b' e9 r& X- V) l& W" iQualifications
7 s/ t! M' @4 l& H4 r- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education3 [! P8 C+ ~) f2 L- C2 P3 o
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills7 `7 [6 s7 p% }% v/ n: m
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
' D4 g5 o n4 E; N. |, u- leadership skills/ L4 C7 y% \- O
- management and supervision skills* g2 ~7 M1 E! e. W% M8 Y& `/ q
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills& c- T# g' g. t" [( E
