To support the Executive Director with fundraising, special events and will be instrumental in the development of our Social Enterprise. This position will also be working directly with children 6-12 years old to teach life skills such as self esteem, communication skills, peer relations using recreation and physical activities to promote growth. Small group facilitation, one-to-ones, family support, advocacy and referrals are used to achieve program outcomes.

Administrative Duties and Responsibilities include:) D8 P i( N7 i0 ? T1 Q
• Working together with the Executive Director to solidify new funding opportunities and write funding reports as needed;
5 S' i* F t4 N2 f4 m) k• Supporting in the overall development of programs and activities that benefit our community and our children;
. D: E* {; J5 Z9 ~) m6 w• Maintaining and evaluating program outcomes;3 ]' R6 R* r5 g- W* m
• Spearheading the further develop our social enterprise; 5 L( {% J- E9 u+ c/ Q/ }
• Risk Management and succession planning;! n8 \* q) w2 U; P! f
# h: c, e! d& I) V1 ^+ ^2 \! qProgram Duties and Responsibilities include:
- p! U, E$ V( i; @• Maintaining comprehensive and objective contact notes related to child or conversations with others about child;' n' D: M: ~5 }1 t9 {2 e' x$ [
• Maintaining confidentiality related to all participant information;: J9 t7 Y" X3 O! d, }
• Liaising and/or advocate with school personnel, parent/guardian, and child, as required;
# _- ?0 X# a" k& x• Creatively planning, organizing, and evaluating small group and one-to-one activities
7 g& y, ?2 _/ u6 P r/ K2 P* k* w• Participating in establishing achievable program outcomes and employ group strategies and activities to achieve the same;
, J1 T/ y8 w( H o9 K2 `• Meeting with participants on a one-to-one basis to help them achieve success with their goals;

• Participating in the planning and implementation of family activities for participants & families;

Qualifications:! G- y0 |) a' n
• Degree in communications, human services or related field;
# D0 w: F3 n) }, \1 v• Extensive knowledge of the not for profit or voluntary sector;4 t5 J0 p" N$ p2 G: ^
• Knowledge of all federal and provincial legislation applicable to voluntary sector organizations;
8 J U3 L) t' r+ G• Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience in writing funding proposals and reports a must;6 y. T8 n/ S4 p9 B, k. A
• The abilities to multi-task, creatively problem solve, communicate effectively, foster teamwork, and build relationships are critical.
; R+ I: G' W3 P$ O. \5 y. H0 ~• Extensive experience in group facilitation and working with children;8 i# {' U& f& W, D( x, a
• Current certificates in Aboriginal Cultural Awareness, Suicide Intervention, Standard First Aid and CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are preferred;# X4 v2 e! r, I8 p
• Clear CYIM, Security Clearance, and Driver’s Abstract;3 f0 O7 c8 h; v, _! B; F; }
• Current valid drivers license;( E+ z7 h9 c( j; ~ Z- x. X: k
• Knowledge of and comfort with the implementation of behavioural intervention strategies;
: u4 j: X3 L2 F* d" h• Conflict resolution skills;+ k+ K1 z8 {0 ~- ?, O, x" S
• Clear understanding of professional boundaries;, c% I4 |& m3 E5 \9 ^2 Z5 p* u B
• Committed and passionate about children;
