Edmonton police have arrested and charged a 26-year-old man with a weapon offence, following several recent gun complaints in the southwest community of Riverbend.- F( i0 p9 C5 i" l

A male wearing a balaclava and carrying a handgun was spotted by a pedestrian walking in the area of Falconer Road and Riverbend Road at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.5 }3 Q. e. A' |9 v4 |8 _* z2 U

Police arrested the man later in the afternoon at the Terwillegar Recreation Centre, after receiving a tip from a resident.

7 l& l' `4 A. [5 `/ f' nA search of the man's home turned up a BB pistol and balaclava matching the description given by witnesses. The man is charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes.
