Edmonton police have arrested and charged a 26-year-old man with a weapon offence, following several recent gun complaints in the southwest community of Riverbend.* ^; C; ]4 w, [

A male wearing a balaclava and carrying a handgun was spotted by a pedestrian walking in the area of Falconer Road and Riverbend Road at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.+ P5 w* Z r5 D" D \5 I4 N

Police arrested the man later in the afternoon at the Terwillegar Recreation Centre, after receiving a tip from a resident.

" W% D% Z9 s7 c; q# R7 RA search of the man's home turned up a BB pistol and balaclava matching the description given by witnesses. The man is charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes.
