Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

7 U. N, g# d* N, k- f9 D" ]4 s% a7 l+ m' D5 @! }& [
- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment : C/ I; d, \' b( z
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
* D: R3 E9 K( _' _4 e+ u* j- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
9 F; [! j' @4 Y1 k- Select type and size of pipe required( O2 j9 \2 Q* w
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
' W) l9 N& M, E+ X1 b- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system# C: i0 {# `4 o. g
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
+ g7 z2 C* b+ o- Test system for leaks using testing equipment' ]- S4 i m1 o- V4 D
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
( V% V0 e: `" N4 _3 L+ c- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system d: m$ f: @: W C @
- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program; K; @4 n5 B. C
- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

+ Q/ m; y2 }- v- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation 6 O" @+ h" V. M" t4 }5 o
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals) U6 q+ R! c5 u! v: Q# \+ S6 w$ n. }
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence( T/ ?; L" a4 P. g
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset D- Z0 t+ {# I3 A1 J8 z
- Safety tickets are considered an asset: l8 |9 c8 q; g" x
- Valid drivers’ license is an asset2 ~, a) ^/ E! Y, t
- Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
