Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales

Key Responsibilities:
! N [) g1 C" o0 V& x
• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 

. _' @& F8 i' b X& E X* m) l: o• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.
$ E% [% [5 H* w7 g R9 I! P
• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.# r8 ~* P( E6 _. V% _6 ^6 c

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.# ~ J. ]9 y" O3 B6 g4 i2 E

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours.

• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 
% V* U* ^' S# ]! S7 A( Y4 a
• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.

0 N! J8 y+ {3 W4 a- _• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
2 R, g, T0 a9 A0 [- z$ k# h
• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

# _7 w4 M/ U1 L; ]• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

• Travel within the assigned region.
