Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
X, `" {0 Y4 C/ f" ^2 R% X9 H7 jattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of & ?# S) I. p/ d! B! r' i! `
information that will make your transition to the University community % x& z8 s) U3 N* V( E
more successful.

( u3 R/ A# O$ XOrientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,
( J i2 k2 b1 W [September 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check / |4 l [5 Z7 W6 z% f
in location is T B 105 in the Henry Marshall Tory Building, which can

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

' B4 e- w- D; y' i) J) l+ S" cof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
4 Z6 A" Q- q# `) u5 K! J6 Alook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
; \+ E% b1 z6 h& M% }of directional information.+ l" H6 W- @2 }7 F5 g) y

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
) f' }* l! k1 ^: k' Ractivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend . {+ Z. ]) {" W& V) K
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday ! }+ F5 g9 ?6 b$ ?
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
& b0 s4 u! i" W5 ?: bHawrelak Park.

( f$ w4 }& ^/ `You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
& G, K; }$ s8 w4 I4 VSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, ' b3 R" B+ [- A/ h
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.6 W2 D* z6 ]3 J- T! K3 H% A& Q
, R3 b0 p. E/ q8 j; q" YBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you $ [0 R D b$ Z- B2 y
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from " U; e0 n" Z" p$ H, l; U8 R
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
, a7 A" ^9 }. l- F* j' \. h( ^ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
6 {7 D6 g$ Z+ [ S2 Q8 v4 dyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece 6 W: }" v& s: P% j" ]" n
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus ( [4 Y4 V3 W" { h* {
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic 1 r9 q4 B# h6 g& b, h
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and : \' Q* b) f/ Q3 m3 _! I2 m
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
2 X$ `% s w$ [two days of Orientation).; k4 v9 |( P# O8 q% g' H4 [
