JOB FUNCTIONS:

6 d6 ^& p+ B' x) H1 A, {• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

" O8 x. c1 K2 R0 }• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

1 j" K7 {- b8 e) N& A' k; @) [0 d* z• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

, M' e$ A5 N8 O/ I; X  T5 l• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

• Shift work, overtime, and 24 hour on-call support may be required on a regular rotational basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Z% \4 j# O% `! g+ X• 5 years of telecommunications experience.

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

0 `; V$ H8 P# ~) i$ A• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
