一次性最长2年吧，visa有效期十年

when your parents entered Canada, the Customs Officer should have stapmed the date until which they could stay. check their passport.

I checked their passports, and there are no stamps on them.

no stamp doesn't mean there is no record at CIC. You have to check by yourself I guess.
