买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

; Q; E" o& B' Z1 Q+ u( |You can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:
' R( U8 w& _, e9 |/ Z•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and5 t; h* N# m+ T8 x- G  P
•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).
- m1 t4 I$ B" K8 _/ c! ]6 B* iSo the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

在税表的Schedule 1 - Line 369行填上5000,折合成tax credit =5000*15%=750. 就是把你的交税额减去$750. / N$ Q$ G! A9 v$ [5 L

The claim can be split between you and your spouse or common-law partner, but the combined total cannot exceed $5,000.
