The AFETC supports families financially and encourages self-reliance and stability. Over the 2011-12 benefit year, the Alberta Family Employment Tax Credit provided about $114 million in tax relief to about 137,000 Alberta families., K- }+ C- J% }7 v

◾Resident of Alberta for at least one month,
1 Z3 w I; e1 y0 F- W6 x, b, @" F◾Parent of one or more children under 18,
o6 O5 `: ]1 C$ ?8 l8 T* w◾More than $2,760 annual family working income, and
' f2 K; Q8 E) }' @: N v7 [! [◾A family net income of less than $53,725 for families with one child, $70,275 for families with two children, $80,200 for families with three children, and $83,500 for families with four or more children.
