' D) i) W. j% @ O! S' MThe item, which turned out to be a DVD player, was reported to police just after 8:30 a.m. and officers swooped in to shut down entrances to the shopping centre./ q6 e+ w+ }: X1 W+ @

Police evacuated the mall, and a short time later determined the package was merely a DVD player left on a bench outside the SportCheck store.

" Y: Z1 l1 Y$ I"I think we made a very measured response and dealt with the safely issues appropriately," said Staff Sgt. Steve Jones. "We just contained an area within the mall."
