9 o. A% W3 C3 M4 I- L4 p6 \EDMONTON — The West Edmonton Mall has reopened after police investigated a suspicious package Tuesday morning.2 ]% K5 D& M8 N7 p- Y
! d& Q: `' j2 W8 \; p- PThe item, which turned out to be a DVD player, was reported to police just after 8:30 a.m. and officers swooped in to shut down entrances to the shopping centre.

"I think we made a very measured response and dealt with the safely issues appropriately," said Staff Sgt. Steve Jones. "We just contained an area within the mall.". y$ g/ F% ^0 r& M Q! n
