Mally Ander I think someone is misinformed. You cite Alberta's "crippling poverty" in your argument, but I'd bet you can't come up with one legitimate piece of evidence to back up that argument. Alberta's unemployment rate stands at 4.5%, that's tied with Saskatchewn as the lowest unemployment rate in Canada. We also have the highest wages, (formally, before Prentice) the lowest taxes in Canada, the highest disposible income and highest standard of living in Canda. Plus our debt is just over 10 billion with a GDP of 300 billion. That's less than 5% and the lowest GDP ratio Canada wide. I seriously bet that you can't find a single province with less debt to GDP than Alberta has. If you look at the facts, the Alberta advantage for the moment is still a real thing, but I doubt it will last for long under an NDP government.

Agreed Randy, 100%, my husband and I lived through the B.C. NDP era, just BARELY. It got so bad for us we were forced to leave our family to go looking elsewhere for "WORK"because my husband was losing so much TAX every two weeks to pay for Welfare. Luckily I have always been Part-time work and was able to keep a bit more from the tax man. The NDP is just BRUTAL.

I love that people are taking these polls so seriously. Last BC election the Liberals were going down by a large margin , and they didn't. Before that Jack Layton was supposed to unseat Harper, it never came close to happening. The polls last Provincial election in Alberta predicted a Wildrose victory with either a Wildrose majority or slim minority, it wasn't even close to right and the PC's gained seats... so much for polls being accurate. How did they get the numbers for them, asking Huffingsomethington Post readers??????

Many may not know this but if you don't like who you're voting for in this election you can "decline your ballot". This is NOT the same as not voting at all. This is also NOT to be mistakened as a spoiled or a rejected ballot which doesn't count. You still have to report to the voting poll and after you signed your declaration on residency, you can then exercise this option. Only 3 provinces (and 1 territory) I know of so far have this option. The declining your ballot gets recorded with Election Alberta, they will show up on election results, and it will indicate to the running candidates or parties you're not satisfied with any of their proposals.
