Andrea Young is a 5-time Canadian Music Competition National Finalist, and 2014 & 2015 Alberta Provincial Music Competition winner. She is going to play works by Bach, Kuhlau, Chopin, Debussy, Prokofiev and Bernstein.
Andrea started piano lessons at the age of 4 under the instruction of her mom, and within 6 years of study, she completed her Grade 10 Royal Conservatory of Music exam with First Class Honours. Andrea has won numerous scholarships at the Fall Music Festival, the Canadian Music Competition Final and the Edmonton Kiwanis Music festival, including the Pamela Farmer Scholarship, and has been a national finalist at the Canadian Music Competition on 5 consecutive occasions.
Andrea studies piano with Mr. David Tutt at the Alberta College Conservatory of Music at the MacEwan University and violin with Mr. James Keene. Andrea is also an active member of the Singing String orchestra of the Music Enrichment Program.
