My experience for your reference if you want to buy a car from private;$ b9 h. D1 {5 s) q3 x" X
' {; K. a s9 C6 g5 M1 _
1. Make sure the car has no accident at all. ask for vin number to check out before your put any deposit. I bought a Car 16 years ago, without check. Because I trusted "a white old family man" and kept me repairing that car for the next ten years.) t: [* L1 b, j
2. You need to drive the car your self before you decide to buy, in local road and high way as well to see if there is steering, balance, brake, acceleration, noise issue, exhaust smoke..... Check the oil level before and after test drive. I only saw him drive when I bought the car, big mistake!* m% m' q# H; B( A8 H* H! Z
3. Check the bottom of the engine, is there any leakage signs including the dark/wet/dirt skin?could be oil, coolant, steering fluid, brake fluid... a good engine, the bottom shall be very dry and possible rusty, no oily stuff at all.$ K& u* [/ v2 z6 R3 m$ d5 P& j
4. Check engine oil cap ( adding oil). An over heated engine will leave the oil smoke out from the cover. The oil cap area of the engine and downward will be very oil stuff.0 J, @4 k' l' G
5. The last thing do not forget to check both front and back suspensions. Put your whole body weight on car body above each tire, then remove the weight. the car shall be back to normal right way. |
