When an employer terminates employment

An employer must give an employee whose employment is being terminated written termination; ?/ W2 }( N T+ ^: w! d; G0 o' L
notice of at least:

• one week for employment of more than 3 months, but less than 2 years;" G/ |# Q5 ?4 s# p% g# N
• two weeks for employment of 2 years or more, but less than 4 years;
6 q5 d4 m. }& d l+ `• four weeks for employment of 4 years or more, but less than 6 years;" L% h: n3 ?7 {" N, ?/ Y" w+ z, v! k! H
• five weeks for employment of 6 years or more, but less than 8 years;

Some employees may be entitled to a greater notice period by the courts than the minimum
