* p( s8 @0 g3 r8 _Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
8 p6 K& V4 P! K6 bModify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
) t3 F1 c/ m# v, Z- l5 O0 CRecruit and manage kitchen staff
Rectify arising problems or complaints
Give prepared plates the “final touch”
, |  a8 B( f% u2 G' {8 LPerform administrative duties
2 e' D$ p9 v2 @% Y+ {Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Proven working experience as a head chef

Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
Capable of delegating multiple tasks
Communication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
