Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me:

# V3 z6 |3 q" l/ E% |I did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:

He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage." + B% b: o, u3 t a- \
"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?"
- t9 \6 o3 s( O- ~$ N8 p- k"Yes, I did."$ f$ Y( [8 f' G' a/ h# P u
Finally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post.

"No, I am not. I do not do those things."

# w4 `9 ?. Z B3 l7 P+ }$ P- ^I gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:* O1 K8 H( ?& p3 s2 ^4 S
"Is it okay that I do not write this part?"
5 B3 _$ x8 X$ Y2 X" r9 ~' L"Yes, you may." I thought he must want to be a nameless hero. But he said:) v0 k N1 X. {' R
"I do not have an address."9 B m8 j6 j+ \3 P5 N# g$ u
I was surprised: "oh, where do you live?"
% z v% ^1 l6 H3 m0 _He did not look up, and said: "I do not have a home."
$ }* Z! G1 c4 @* y+ \ OMy heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it. % B% K/ b" d" ]$ o! @
He did not a posses a home, but he had a big heart. He had the precious fortune of being a man of integrity.
