1 ?) @" v2 m; W+ fCalgary police have now laid charges against an 18-year-old Calgary woman following the death of a little girl at a crosswalk in the city's northwest.
4 S3 F& h. Z g lPolice Sgt. Doug McIlwraith said Tuesday that Angela Ta has been charged with passing a motor vehicle stopped for a pedestrian at a crosswalk, failing to yield at a crosswalk, and careless driving.3 G* V; y3 k6 W1 f
McIlwraith says the charges could mean a licence suspension, a $2,000 fine or six months in jail.
- Y2 o6 k3 g1 e0 tSix-year-old Jenna Chang and her mother, Ye Qiao, were struck Jan. 18 by a black BMW while using a marked crosswalk at 32 Avenue and 37 Street N.W.) q+ Q% e6 h6 ^7 x5 n0 o$ f/ F
