0 j+ J0 H/ }, w0 QEDMONTON (CP) - A tentative deal that would see Alberta doctors receive their first fee increase in almost a year-and-a-half should help retain physicians in the booming province, but it won't necessarily improve patient care, says the president of the Alberta Medical Association.

8 s) ]+ K$ q$ s2 |, U3 G% Z8 H"It will keep physicians hopefully in this province. It will hopefully attract more physicians to this province and therefore has the potential to improve care," Dr. Gerry Kiefer said at a news conference Saturday.
