Design of transmission lines
& c* x- m# _! S3 KDesign of foundations for transmission line structures
1 S& V" D& s5 R$ V* NStructure spotting
# S; H& E5 c6 f* aPreparation of specifications for the procurement of transmission line materials and structures
' U+ f% d# L: v5 g" ^' JHardware selection
7 A& S( p" V; U) VPreparation of scope documents for construction tenders and contracts , \$ h b: L9 J; e! N v9 p. w
Providing mentorship to more junior engineers 8 M( d3 u6 M) i' {! B( ^
Liaison with clients and contractors

Qualifications L1 I( J! ?: G* _
, C4 y- u. t; N& j- sThe ideal candidate will be an Electrical Engineer, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design of transmission lines in wood, steel pole and lattice towers. The candidate would have experience in interpreting Geotechnical Data, and be able to design foundations for transmission line structures. Experience with PLS-CADD or SAG 10 software, and periodic onsite construction support is a definite asset. You must be a Professional Engineer and eligible to register with APEGGA. |
