CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

4 a" {7 v1 c  {8 o( i3 U9 S3 L· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

. Q  f( W. w0 e· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

+ D, f$ n8 w% S. o2 W3 ^8 v· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

# G$ y  y  z: D3 h· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
! a1 H$ S- Y9 R6 ?# ~
· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license
, ~3 S* Y6 f# w
( \% W6 |3 A* K" q· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

3 ?6 W2 y* `' S· Load securement certification
( n' I5 v" t  m, l; ~; ^& @7 K
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

. {+ }* D4 h: W( `+ ^/ V+ S8 q) i· Excellent organizational and time management skills

/ u) {7 m- @! |' P; y% n7 a3 @6 W1 ~· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.
