Hourly rate: $20 ($40,101 per annum prorated at 12 hours per week)

Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and6 n# S: x( {, d
weekend hours.& t7 k6 L1 R7 o, @& C0 h2 o
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer$ U& t9 V4 V3 D g, H$ V% ?
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
& B5 P* h* w( n9 H' v+ W7 q2 H" mcentre.$ R, I2 t) R6 l, v$ ~. w" R a3 z
These responsibilities include:1 O' J" @: \: M: B8 j5 i* B
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.5 M# d& G( k7 K- J9 [6 N4 }( Z2 G$ `
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.* [, G2 H% `0 U/ Y8 ^! h
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and! t$ s. c$ o/ J4 B
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to 2 O& t* I0 v( m3 m" Q
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
# _& g3 b$ A& T$ y# M0 o j-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic ' f. y" f0 a7 S- Y$ @
clients’ files etc. ( I, V! N& T+ Z9 ]4 \

Education:
8 W, J$ ]3 V- f/ x% m. L-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
' d' ?1 g8 e( A6 @8 _0 Zeducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination . w( x4 [7 }4 h/ ]8 R
of education, training and /or experience.
& E; p) ] U8 N8 eKnowledge/Technical competencies:! U; g' f$ h: z, R, P) p" h7 b
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.* Z& L7 _% m$ f* ^- y1 ?# c3 ~
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
$ E; j3 x1 q1 m3 j% ^/ q7 h5 ~and Excel.
% s: x0 \% c( w$ }& ~- f/ D-Experience using and updating an information database. , m$ O* v- _1 g. |9 w) S% Z% K6 A( W3 h

Assets:
0 K( G6 u7 B6 [% s-Experience in using MS Access.

-Experience in one of the Statistics software: SAS, SPSS or STATA
