% A' n+ R% j1 B) l/ {Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
2 f( d  \: {9 W; X/ @pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

* X5 U1 J/ [4 `2 ^- I+ FHours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

" h6 T. g: K/ Y" r+ h% PDuties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
, A% U$ u+ \5 a% P6 B9 W" uCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
' x# @5 i, Q4 w- A+ W  E( V: Vparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
& @7 u  ^; g) r+ }  W/ s* ?+ Ctheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
* Q% J/ H& d2 ^# Zvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
* g9 P+ T8 W4 D/ v% Fexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
. E& }. A; L3 w% hsuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
6 S- [0 }1 [# J1 x4 k* ppresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

! J( L% n* L$ J' A' ]8 t$ ]Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
# f. L! N+ }. \: W  qdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
7 P* E$ F2 Q% t% X) D# z. Hof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
( h: e5 E  n) h7 ~. Gskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
