Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 300 u! a( {/ {. ?3 F8 ~
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
9 f8 \3 K5 n4 z0 Pthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at2 n( q2 K! J& K
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus5 Z( V( a: k/ R8 \" j" ^! j a; E
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,& }* r# l3 O* J( `* r
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for( J% K5 Q! j! a) o: S& r- B
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and4 b% M: d' o$ L* R/ s8 ]9 O
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
' Z" ~! D5 l- P- T. Y8 C( v9 R* Gtheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
" [; \; `+ O* _6 S' N8 Z- J& jassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking: w9 |) Z) f& ?7 @2 c) {
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
; o0 _$ W: S: f, V0 S4 x# y% ooutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city+ n: a3 v5 h* Y
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night' q- A- f; L1 V
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or/ }0 F$ u+ q* \% W1 \# F/ W: [! E4 v
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents i& X5 e& _$ [) N
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint0 L* u) B6 c8 U, f* J" l
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in* Z7 j5 [8 ~8 O' `" v7 Q7 t
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
- V1 `: w: O" Q; b) G" d: i" efluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,' a8 {2 }1 k- C
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
% u7 F% E2 v1 s$ W4 Da variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those9 s0 q8 s1 u1 ?' B
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
" J( v3 \) d5 D3 r# ^4 q0 Yskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,$ f8 o: J% d( Y/ u! L( B! o
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
