Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat

5 ]5 W1 u& F4 e/ _1 SHours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
2 P/ x6 ^0 H% d. n# X* c- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the

; z0 I  V# c$ y  i2 }1 ZDuties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
+ Y; G5 p0 P6 T. W5 QCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
( b( k1 j6 L& F0 K) \! q* h. Wetc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
, l/ x5 w8 s7 b' I8 z' i; t  l- @their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
, W" ?: Q$ E# G$ m0 s& i" v# xoutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
0 q, Y3 v5 A; q, p8 _! B- pexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
: M( f& q1 Y+ I. @. pfunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
" \: M: W. v9 G6 `; k  B( G8 F5 lsuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
5 W, H8 u) F& }6 J! l0 Tpresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

5 }  d2 ?7 V* _' i# i8 [Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
+ _7 I) S4 q9 w. S- C1 S. B, zdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
/ d$ h, r) W% E% Z: z- Jof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
5 F+ W6 Z8 I' m* ~experience coordinating group activities an asset.
