Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30

7 d0 m6 X, v( n7 `9 U- Xthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the: R+ v& B' Q3 i; v0 j4 S# i( c
school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
, v: M% }$ x' p0 L. ?CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
6 _' t6 ?# w2 I' Svenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,9 b" P( T4 b0 o9 h* j$ ~
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for D# N |4 @# W
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and/ N w+ z8 c9 v0 y8 J' a& ~* F4 H
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during: Q2 Z: M) v5 C/ e/ H
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
% i: X$ v$ _4 B) h0 v$ ^assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking) D3 k1 S( ]0 A9 Z
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
8 V }8 g7 j: }" s" a& p& houtings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city; j6 M$ g0 b* S& ?$ v
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night; w9 x9 {; b/ c/ n; G
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
' b. V; o# c! P; L M2 A! ofunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
9 C1 s( S6 U: y4 ksuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint( C) H. c) H( `/ _
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc. ' r# A6 |% S* e
. a. _0 I; `6 S2 l% l0 R, EQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
6 J+ E/ L/ X _# ]( f6 w% ACommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate. _3 v9 I! `3 R1 C: `
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
! E, B5 H* t9 ndemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
, j1 r7 x2 q. u5 T$ \a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those. H& D' D' R* A: D1 e2 a
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management" y% j$ P) g3 }
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word, G9 m# [7 u* v: J- \2 q
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,- m# @8 A0 A( L3 { u) z- M' ]
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
