SERVER (RATT)

11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

* q. i/ M* }: HJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
- R' X, j4 H/ M/ Ycustomer service and room cleanliness.

# F! H3 w( @. P7 Q. x8 [; h5 u
. T7 b. \5 H1 w* p& xDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
7 S3 a* c1 ^1 b, G/ }  V
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
! Z9 B5 q9 H: Bhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
) T" X; R& ?2 Q  F
4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
# N; a7 r! N& V+ S7 Vand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
- j+ a% X# A$ a; [/ P- xaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
# r) C: j7 c2 M) D" D3 Bintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
; F, Z9 t6 P% n4 A# n9 R+ z8 ^Manager.

1 N+ X/ [3 m/ G' y) JQUALIFICATIONS;
& W" F; d' h4 N6 [. }: N* c1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

$ p/ ~% f9 Y: I: e, M0 p2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
# D/ j: k: I( I. ppolicy.
3 d* m0 K  k" a7 D' W2 ^) p2 X
( @) A8 `3 q6 A4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.
/ B# B4 Z1 G% N) [
6 G: s& R5 \; O. p8 d5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
