9 l7 @$ o- f0 ]3 M+ tJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
( R4 v" i: _2 u7 [. rcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

9 g! F: [( v3 L! sDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
  a3 [  \; k" Uorders.

2 [  D7 E( [4 L9 h2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
8 `8 W1 \! D  \; p- ehigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
8 B$ y# M" v( U7 aaccordance with Students' Union policies.

, l! i/ F; ]' ~+ }+ ?) u" s1 J3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

; L/ J$ L" ?$ F4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
& j6 y" w9 {: ~5 a+ q6 aincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
) S5 t4 j- \! B: D( qaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
+ b1 H' q" c+ p2 j9 A/ x6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
# C+ [8 f; Y, `& |, {Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

! ]1 o# a  q7 N6 Q3 M5 g7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
! X* l1 F6 Z( n  j( q; uoperation.

4 n2 _8 G! c: r3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
* f5 i3 z" ^4 g9 P  z  x6 \policy.

. U: K. {2 v/ r4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.
0 s7 f' ~6 X: G  h9 T
5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
