11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
0 R# u( V0 W& E6 ^# @6 f6 T& _Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

6 r4 L9 A& d. U5 p- w2 K. HDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
6 F' a  `6 ~/ }& porders.

4 A. Z( A7 T: a% C- W, |2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
0 r5 \- C) D) @$ I# Ghigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
+ Z5 H7 w7 H" i8 c; v1 a
% Q1 o, T# L& X3 K8 x1 I' Y3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

8 n: {. A) T. @! P9 |0 p4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

; r$ a4 y( \( o5 f7 h6 M5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
( {! j" d/ B- C% yintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
$ |% [# @9 ?3 r3 {Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
7 r% |* D5 Y. Q( u+ a# aManager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
+ X: i: f1 D4 ~) A3 u: I5 R1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
5 h& x  v! Z, M5 F. r
- j0 @8 J7 E+ `2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
- j1 T; ?4 h* E1 M, joperation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
# ~+ @/ o! s! e5 I5 Jpolicy.

1 j/ c( L6 ~) l; B0 F5 U1 u. D4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
