4 N7 P, y+ b: q22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  
through Friday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
$ ?: [* u& K2 F& r* b0 f3 scleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
5 @5 }+ Y5 g0 D! ~( ^! [1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.
; G* J3 \' N+ t- S; N7 \
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.

2 ?9 C( T% i0 D; f- ]! N0 ]3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
$ y1 L" {$ A4 H2 B0 a  Yeach shift, and upon closing.
" n, s: R/ H+ O( B4 F
4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
" C% n# W7 X& n1 w2 E4 e6 B' Eattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
: G. g9 X4 n9 T9 G0 zseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

; P% G/ g8 m; q: `5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
# G% Y& G. |7 O6 ^7 |storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

' s+ ^. t5 [/ Q% W! U' G/ q6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
9 N% X  w; c$ R0 x( O To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

/ D  T) `7 D% H% g, }9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

) }( p: p) D. Z+ gQUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

+ k9 f( C3 W( J4 w; {+ t8 T$ n2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.
4 z  W" O! _  F4 L& Z0 {# B: N( R
& U8 Q/ C4 Y# W" b6 j# X; O3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.

, Q8 H+ q( N+ E' k% T& p4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.
