8 P  F( v, S5 K$ f; ~( R% Z. }JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
0 A6 v, R( w8 Y! n' mprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
" D4 Q2 a3 {" Y% @cleanliness and order in the bar.
: v% v, o1 z# m% E$ m: Z  F9 B$ Q
. d0 t! n; g- k5 j/ y. O- x) LDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
7 J! l9 X& f/ t9 N9 z, Q1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.
. d* H% m$ f* y& {6 N
' V* K- y# a  j( w1 o: [2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
2 x- Y  W2 V' u1 Xbar and debit floats.

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
each shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
6 P5 N9 ^, F) e* chigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

, d) ]" b& p5 _1 y" @5 i) @& X7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
' G  m4 |% x7 n# T' \9 d, H. dhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
9 W5 d6 h, _$ r* U: Y% rAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
0 |' X& \& ]  K5 ?, sSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

+ `. R; R) J7 G& s* c1 aQUALIFICATIONS:
/ Q/ r* y6 V3 e% i6 v( j7 p1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
! h8 O9 U4 G+ F" g8 G5 |  J/ N1 R
2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
# q4 W/ H$ w, _8 I% \5 coperation.
; H/ ?. K7 Z3 q3 a$ z' ^
1 m0 @% {" R" m2 n9 j2 L3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
, i' _1 T# y" r0 r3 D. W& W6 i7 yaccordance with Students' Union policy.

- }6 A- o% R# V2 e8 c  \4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

2 y8 X1 K0 R6 h3 `( x5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
4 x1 k4 q' j1 W* H/ i- i4 W  tUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.
