22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
. Y4 T5 A* K" m& V" N% _) uOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  ! p+ W0 Z, V3 `7 @+ {
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  0 V4 c5 ^  m% p( ^& A
cleanliness and order in the bar.
! D, {/ t: ]7 I1 ~. h1 e+ z2 L$ E& N& O3 {) D& K( M
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- r" S; u/ |* J* D& e, c% P% |1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  ( ?& R) I  S, b) i8 m* G
beverage items.+ m, O; c* i# ]9 l4 o

7 ]$ A( e% W, r2 w% |+ ?  x6 X5 V2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
9 {6 W: i. s& Q) b' ^bar and debit floats.% ?* K7 S$ S  c; ~0 f/ Y

+ M4 X- N1 X) J( I( `7 ~3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of    K# x9 |5 a( R5 y
each shift, and upon closing.
; Q$ r, C/ W2 O& |7 m5 {2 V' ]0 p; }) O. H$ r
4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
/ F; X+ R6 O) o5 u* R9 k3 yattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  ( c0 e" [! Y3 H& j' ~! A) ^
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.
! \% D; }. p5 r# p5 u
6 D* T8 @7 C, r. y0 M5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  ; Q4 K$ k, I. d3 N2 _( @
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
2 Q  T; A+ i; q, p) ~1 G/ Lproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

$ M. u: E& W7 ~% F5 N6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
6 m% U% f& w" _; u7 ?5 p" Pmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
' \$ D' x! a# dhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  , {& U. e+ i: x
accordance with Students' Union policies.$ Y3 f/ i6 S" N% I8 n

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
: {) C! ?- C# p" N- ?3 Ahigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.% S; I: Q$ U% \0 p' M8 |
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  - H! p" \  v+ |. r& d
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.8 G3 R6 ]" P' A) _

; N& ]6 a: _  _/ C9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  " A9 j7 l& J( P( y$ I
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

5 {5 w2 Y' D) n4 I( q4 l4 qQUALIFICATIONS:
8 k' H# K- c+ M5 T- L5 u1 J+ N% x, g1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.9 c! k$ g  H7 [8 A4 a9 @; P
6 }. U% d, D9 o3 Z" Z  D/ }5 V
2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  0 E  m+ q* E1 w. H* t$ z2 `
operation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  " v8 l/ }1 k0 u8 y: p# }# _: S3 ^
accordance with Students' Union policy.% w8 x+ Q4 F7 R# o

; A2 P! p. [. E1 i4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.1 M! F3 D0 ]! a/ N4 z5 L( `3 p( {

+ l* V+ e9 n  I1 q3 R6 t5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
( ^% |0 O" K- b' h+ tUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic
