JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to and under the general supervision of the 6 D1 h) X* ^1 W: g5 z
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the 6 P; l% I- U9 \* F' {' \! Y
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
5 @5 }+ Y5 g0 D! ~( ^! [1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and $ y' e0 n, i8 J) E* ?1 K7 c
beverage items.
; G* J3 \' N+ t- S; N7 \( o; K$ x3 M4 D* e$ [3 o
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the 3 f5 d$ v% b+ I/ A2 ]
bar and debit floats.7 P# c. K. y2 ~* t, e" b1 k
2 ?9 C( T% i0 D; f- ]! N0 ]3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of
$ y1 L" {$ A4 H2 B0 a Yeach shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular
" C% n# W7 X& n1 w2 E4 e6 B' Eattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and
: G. g9 X4 n9 T9 G0 zseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.& |! r8 |! G3 d3 J# c
; P% G/ g8 m; q: `5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in
# G% Y& G. |7 O6 ^7 |storage areas. Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol / \$ G, j$ w" h' G) K6 Y, [+ D
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

' s+ ^. t5 [/ Q% W! U' G/ q6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close 5 \3 Y& e1 \% H/ b; j- q6 B
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a ' ~% c' e2 R1 j8 u% J
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in
2 \8 k! v9 N* U3 }accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a ) k5 z4 a/ I# L! B& k
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.

1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.7 Z) N& \8 _% s& J2 m
+ k9 f( C3 W( J4 w; {+ t8 T$ n2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume # l6 F2 S; w, Y- B
operation.
