BARTENDER - Room At The Top (RATT) - includes some serving

22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

1 W1 W' h: ~% B7 D" _' EJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
* ^  I$ O4 ]! V  ^7 A+ K9 HOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
7 I/ F3 \) D. x4 J/ T1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
% ^. n4 U+ U  l! dbeverage items.

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
each shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
3 m+ _4 W' w: B+ kattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5 {% i$ ~8 D) `& u& |( C- r. b: b5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

5 g0 Z/ a, y: G6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
0 F5 m9 F* S4 W* shigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
2 o1 j' V, u# w3 I9 o4 Q/ QAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

) K- d) h9 R3 v, a" x: g9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

# g* B7 H6 Q% W, ?2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
, Z$ H+ Q0 I, Foperation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.

5 ?5 V. s7 H4 m' \4 ^, ]6 z$ r4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic
