BARTENDER - Room At The Top (RATT) - includes some serving

22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  
through Friday

) ~+ `) S5 ^' I! h9 ?8 Z2 N9 x) F0 P/ |JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
  q  \( k5 g( @% @) u$ C/ Kprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
& v! R3 \9 `& E( jcleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
3 G1 T* ]* D0 q) x+ J) P! Ibeverage items.

+ {, j$ F5 g+ M2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.

$ P$ v  h" y% ~* ]3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
! Y, S) s( R; f8 M4 b5 L1 ~each shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
8 g; S/ s$ J8 Z9 i% c  Iseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
; B4 J" }6 l6 C5 I" H, o7 Ustorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
# e; a- n; y" s8 _: oproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
  a6 g: q7 ?' u# x' B; [* ihigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
( i9 O& [' Y. taccordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
( T2 ?. k" Z" sAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

2 o. z/ a! x2 P9 h- d8 S3 CSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

: F& w5 r0 m% e1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

# Z8 C; ~: [' B; ]3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
4 G. H( q- F+ [8 b; a' I2 C' {* saccordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.

Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
