ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action. - {5 r; o! ~; z

Community Initiatives Documenter
2 U y& T$ e) F0 B6 s( W" R9 EThe CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.6 U+ G+ v. ~( f9 ^9 b) X* }5 B

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.

1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.
