Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the# q0 E! |( L% C1 G" T8 S( f
festival.$ n' ?: v* o* d8 R) }9 @2 X8 c
Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and" O, S- D% J, `& D8 r( q
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
2 \4 ^4 N- q; Fprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up./ Y: q3 T: ~6 X3 ]3 c
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
/ `; u; A4 F$ V E6 Z& H; wartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
3 U) }( }3 ^3 h1 u0 K/ rEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for( A4 ~, W; A" P/ x3 t; v8 W
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
0 M7 r+ j" ~" d' c& k( wrecyclables.
, S+ H# p8 _4 m& m0 nFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be% S+ u r6 q1 y" ^- S& |, a
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.5 N1 U5 d& P2 p
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing* W% A5 } `0 J
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late+ y& }. ?3 y9 e2 f1 N
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
, a/ t' b. f1 Q/ Z* bInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the1 d/ H9 P% |) H O! G# ~
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide; B' I& h$ D2 I/ I4 [- t" o, E
programs to visitors to the festival.
6 Y' N3 [1 t5 `% G& OKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
: Q/ }( N% i7 Ueveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
U4 f Z6 f4 V- B) J7 y* i+ W3 ~Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed5 ]! Q) a) |" v) \
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
) Y8 T+ v( |7 i! Y" Tfestival.5 b# I7 ^1 a6 E1 c8 J
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is- s1 Z# ?- S" l6 y
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you! Y2 J4 j2 N' D& t3 L
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.9 F6 |5 n5 I. j& o7 _- s% [- i
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training+ W, C* K. u' x' X
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
# v, a3 J) z$ y4 qTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
8 p' P5 @" u5 x8 X. s2 yrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as, @+ Z) \% O" B% |
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
$ W6 H- b& H; a" z6 l& k/ }; q/ H1 D9 Mstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
