. S2 A7 M. `$ b8 u: vBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and$ R) J9 H3 p8 _3 ^
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft1 n& F# [( W9 ?$ @& O k) s6 n
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.8 W1 |/ n6 W; m% I& ^/ p
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
+ b. ]' U& d# X/ ~artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come." V4 A4 J; X: a
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
7 O8 e! u9 Y( e" K2 @0 kvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
3 T6 |9 e. m; J- C* M grecyclables.
9 `! E! N- W! Z+ N) A" a$ u, pFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be. Q( `3 I ?( k- `8 V& s1 `
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
. Y; X4 ]/ e' yHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing l2 Z, m. U' H% D9 q+ n7 k1 N
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late+ C8 n* e8 L4 W
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
+ d" C0 |3 I0 t/ j' R _# jInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the3 b% ?% Y& Y- z+ F
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
0 u$ X! z3 }# Q9 Rprograms to visitors to the festival.2 U, i$ j% J6 s/ K# d2 _0 e4 N6 j
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
+ s9 Q1 j! z+ _, [& C! Z' ^4 Neveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.8 R4 G& A: G0 e; m$ d; T
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed3 \+ H6 a* J( }; M" S- Z/ ^
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
9 n5 V' D# L7 ~& s$ L. efestival.! |6 G/ o, o! Z. ] D4 k
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
) T+ s& L4 l c9 }operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you! F ~* J! B( x/ @' [
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
5 Y# @1 }, J: Z. u$ O9 J8 i+ t0 S5 {6 _Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
7 T' z3 j2 a( Mand/or understanding of back stage procedures.
6 p, _$ _0 R" A8 f7 e6 vTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be. Z. y" O: \9 S$ u @
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as$ A/ f2 {$ n3 b8 u) O- q
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival$ T" _9 g& ]% j w1 A% y- }7 e7 u
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
