Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
0 q. s% Z5 A# B, S( rwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft. B* P6 J3 Q9 S" f3 Y5 U9 a
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.' g% V5 }( I u! d4 y! U9 K3 P5 O
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
8 H( X! ?* f* z4 \artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.9 G+ h% X) [. ]( e4 X' E
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
6 Q: _; m) F* z. Q8 W1 _( m+ dvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the' i/ I; n: J( J2 R7 G" K" `
recyclables.
Z* _5 I5 ^7 \& b& {1 SFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
( e Q0 Z0 [; |! r# |& ipart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
0 K! O* P& k3 B3 [Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
9 H7 E6 n2 N) V, H: P7 L; O$ x, lthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late' _1 Y! l. l) V( c
hours are part of this crew’s duties./ L: \- n( g; l Z2 @
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
4 V3 @! {4 G0 c; ?6 Y& [festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
9 N3 w! Y, d/ S6 W6 w. j& v, I9 ?programs to visitors to the festival.: z' o7 U$ Y1 Y1 D8 A' z5 z
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for6 ?% Y% L6 G6 s
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.9 R2 G6 R4 U3 ~+ K% X
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed8 y9 h' ]' Q* u( B& V- @
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the2 h- E" e- W5 r5 _% F
festival.
: o$ E w. f2 o$ ~; NSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
" S: X8 ^- G: N: m2 c; g3 \& Joperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you0 Q- B7 Q, F; `* N
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
* ]$ F0 K. M' EStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training/ w6 b' P# l4 m: {
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
2 M/ y( Z( N7 _2 Y2 n! XTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be, m. b8 _: d9 U: J, k; a l$ T
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
, @6 K0 ?! P. S2 fairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
7 ~; b! v4 s' qstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
