Wow. In edmonton, if we're talking about academics, then it is definitely going to be in the following order

1) Old Scona Academic
8 l6 W$ ^" z8 O+ P2) Harry Ainlay: r& x# d7 @6 u! f. [8 N. a) s9 [
3) Arch Bishop MacDonald

Strathcona is more known for being a "jock" school - in other words, very athletic. It was also more populated with caucasians... I don't know if that's changed in the last 4/5 years... maybe there are more asians there now? Don't know. 9 t# e1 i. E6 a4 F3 q
. N: k- K: C* n9 S4 \# n. V7 FAnyways, besides Strathcona being well known for sports, I have never really heard of it being well known for other attributes... Yes there is an AP program, but as far as I know, IB (as offered by Harry Ainlay) is still more renowned. Also... Harry Ainlay has a french immersion program. :)

% m3 m" L; _8 ^* {! _Vic Comp used to be attractive for "artsy students", but now, the new Lillian Osbourne has taken its ranks for being an artsy school...- H: X& T! T0 z

Otherwise, I still consider Old Scona and Harry Ainlay some of the better schools around in terms of academics :)
