Wow. In edmonton, if we're talking about academics, then it is definitely going to be in the following order

2) Harry Ainlay

$ `' {/ h! T! A6 O6 PStrathcona is more known for being a "jock" school - in other words, very athletic. It was also more populated with caucasians... I don't know if that's changed in the last 4/5 years... maybe there are more asians there now? Don't know.

% V! u. O- |2 o" z2 N1 j) z$ a) {Anyways, besides Strathcona being well known for sports, I have never really heard of it being well known for other attributes... Yes there is an AP program, but as far as I know, IB (as offered by Harry Ainlay) is still more renowned. Also... Harry Ainlay has a french immersion program. :)) W) j" `: q# o1 Y- C

For students that have a passion for arts:/ x( y: D9 U9 A/ a6 x
Vic Comp used to be attractive for "artsy students", but now, the new Lillian Osbourne has taken its ranks for being an artsy school...

Like I said, I graduated from high school a few years ago, maybe rankings have changed. But when I was in high school, this is what the schools I previously named above were well-known for. Hope this helped! |
