This is how I view the effects of major road way on the location of newer neighborhoods:

1) Worst: Cameron Heights
Main entrance on AH
! H( k; w# k! R) _6 k0 x& I
$ x, F- r: R8 f3 Y9 p) L2) Worse: Terwillegar Garderns
Major roads on 3 sides (and a crappy neighborhood on the 4th)

3) So So:  Magrath etc.
Main entrance on secondary roads (Rabbit Hill)
Major roads on 2 sides
, q' V# R( E* V( t2 O8 i
5 X' o/ W- K  Y1 m4) Good: Upper Windermere, Eagle Ridge
Main entrance on "3rd level" of roads that leads to the river valley and/or golf course.
0 Y5 T4 }% O- |" y# m6 R: {No Major roads on any side. No crappy neighborhood around. No visible power line.

5) Best: Windermere Ridge
Same as 4.
+ all in one cul-de-sac
/ Q8 G; H- Z# P; M4 z: W+ DC1/DC2 zoning
+ No condo in view
