在这里说话得注意精确度，以爱城的平均收入水平，35万以上的房子应该算中高价位，不是无人问津，是少有人问津，而且走得很慢很慢。这几天爱城市政府在投票决定阿省是否要有rental control。安省就有控制房租涨价的各项具体措施。另外，为了不使爱城变成FORT MCMURRY的翻版，省政府在45天以后会宣布一项解决爱城高房价的具体措施。以上信息是本人这两天听本地新闻所得，请大家核实后取阅。

提供本地新闻，这个消息对大家还是很有参考意义的，如果政府控制价格，市场会有新的变动。

在家闲着

The house prices are ridiculously high now, they will drop in 1-5 years for sure. It is too risky to buy a house now, you may end losing a lot of money. Now those construction workers make tons of money, if you buy a house, you are donating money to them. If you have too much money, you can do that, if not, you need to think about it carefully.

Renting is a much better option for you, it is cheaper. Try to save money now and wait for a couple of years, if prices drop significantly, then you can buy. Otherwise you may want to move other cities.

Especially if your husband lose his job and you have to pay $2400 for your house monthly, you will be under tremendous pressure.

There is no difference in terms of life quality between renting a house or owning a house. A house is just a place for you to live no matter you own it or rent it. The benefit to own a house is you can build equity from it. After 100% price increase in the recent years, I don't expect to get 10% increase annualy.

- F# m7 Q* P0 V. \) H* GIf the goverment put controls over the market, it will for sure reduce the risk of market crash, that means the price will keep going up--slowly, but up, for a while yet.

3 k' ~/ ?4 x6 C. M& mLZ, buy it now, but your need to do a lot of research in this market, safe bet would be: find a fix-upper in a good area.

I lived in Michener Park before and bought a house last summer. Just try to give you a rough idea how
much you may spend per month on roughly $250K Mortgage:

. E0 J/ G1 C; b5 y" uMortgage/Month + property tax: $1700
Utility (gas+electricity+water): $300/M, day:21 degree C Night: 19 degree C

( m3 v+ S; T7 ^Other expenses you may consider once you have a house:
Closing cost (lawyer fee+inspection): $1000
' k$ w1 k& a. r, y0 p& RFurniture at Brick/Leon's level for two bedroom, one living room, one family room: $6K (Low level)
Garden & Lawn tools: roughly $200 last summer. need to buy much more this summer
My neighbour said it cost her roughly $300 per summer for flower bed.

) E$ M- E2 h0 GI am also planning to put side at least $500/M for home maintence and improvement.
