看过一篇文章分析大小车的安全性的,里头也是提到实际交通事故的撞击方式,在所有致命事故里,50%涉及非两车撞击(翻车,撞击障物,比如树,水泥柱子),这类事故里跟安全相关的因素车子重量大小不算其中,主要是 * A' J% g. D9 ia) an effective restraint system (seat belts and airbags)$ A! g2 W6 @; a0 T3 D1 Z5 _& H K
b) effective energy absorption in the crush areas (front end or rear end)( _" h; P6 v% i5 d7 ~' s
c) a strong cabin area that does not collapse in the crash9 L; K h% A8 z; D
None of these items are automatically better in large and heavy vehicles. In fact, for item c, the roof of a heavier vehicle is more likely to be crushed in a roll-over accident than a lighter vehicle.
