let me tell you the first two months life after I sent my daughter to daycare.
+ \7 d6 X% m8 q m1 c/ LWeek 1, she cried most of time in daycare.8 }$ _0 Y& m, W! |7 n
Week 2, she cried less in daycare, but she was sick. And daycare let us to take her to home, because she got fever. She cried most of time at night during that week.
2 Q! |+ O# f) ^1 v1 k1 j) z. M- hMy husband and I took a turn to stay at home to take care her. We both have family sick leave and doctor appointment benefit.

. v' {( s9 P6 d gWeek 3, she was back to daycare for two days. She got sick again, just fever. So my husband took 3 days off to take care her at home. Most of time, she cried during the night, because she coughed a lot at night. My husband and I both got sick again.
1 }7 Q; q' v' j. g8 fWeek 4, she was back to daycare for three days. She got sick again. This time, she had ear infection. See doctor, take antibiotics. Cried at night.
; S: \" q$ S R- m4 l* [Week 5, she was ok. We went for vacation.
' x D: s% T& uWeek 6, she was back to daycare for two days, then she got sick again. This time, she stayed at home for another three days, because her fever. see doctor and doctor could not tell us what is wrong with her. Only tell us to keep eye on her., F1 i& ~+ n+ K: _
Week 7, she is still sick, even worse. She cried every half of hour. Finally she got rash all over her body. We took her to doctor who said she got an virus. It would be over during 7 to 10 days and it was contagious. No daycare until the rash was gone.) v9 N9 X8 @. d& X8 n: }3 t
Week 8, she was back for 3 days, because she was ill for first 2 days.7 I% r- p5 J2 K
From week 2 to week 8, my husband and I got sick again and again.: U* t4 w( Q% C5 v8 o d8 Y2 J
Week 9, she is at daycare. But my husband and I are still sick. We have used half of our vacation and sick leave time. There are still long way to go. My friends and co-workers with little kids have the similar story as well. |

有时候还庆幸自己是冬天开始开车的，因为冬天大家开车慢，也比较宽容，然后把自己的路线研究清楚，虽然有一段在高速上，却也还好。到夏天了，速度快，如果一开始就是夏天，哪里敢一下就上whitemud？如果楼主确实有多年驾龄，开车的时候小心一些，注意关注一下网友们的经验和提醒，应该问题不大。二来，如果家有10岁以下的孩子还是有车方便些，一方面是买菜什么的，另一方面是万一孩子生病什么的，另外这么大的孩子在周末可能需要出去转转，而这里周末公共交通是比较麻烦一点。。。。三来，感觉lz既然打算把孩子带出来，那么就是经济上没有太大担忧的，看看这里有没有什么了解行情的朋友，如果能买个性能尚可的二手车也不错（一定要带雪胎的哦，据说最好是SUV什么的，俺不太懂
）。买了以后提早做好转卖的计划，一进一出也许比租车好。。。# [& ?5 Y$ A$ x& f2 A+ ?: A. q6 X
尤其是如果不是有室内车库的，冬天早上车里可冷了。。。有remote starter可以提前热车，那样在出门的时候应该好多了。。。。不过如果送完孩子，把车停在停车场什么的，刚进去也一定冷。。。。4 q. @* T0 j' ^0 L
最后自己来了，感觉还好，虽然坐公车，在个小小的busstop等车，孩子倒是没冻着，天冷给他带口罩还不乐意。。。自己也还好，一年难得穿几次秋裤，完全仗着国内带来过膝的长羽绒服。。。。。所以还是小马过河，看个人吧。。。对于我们来自长江流域，冬天湿冷也没有暖气的，倒是还挺喜欢这里冬天在家穿短袖的感觉
这在我们每年夏天都要经历零上40度考验的来说，实在有些难以理解。。。而斯里兰卡的就说这里他什么都满意就是天气太冷了。。。我呢，倒不惧它冷，就是觉得冬天太长。。。至于我们的孩子，好像适应力比俺们强，一天到晚浑浑噩噩的，没听他抱怨天气什么的。。。倒是这里因为冬天出去活动没有那么方便，孩子的活动少了，有没个兄弟姐妹的，在家可闹人，只有给他排上各种活动，踢球，游泳，滑冰，或是去图书馆。。。。。
我们家孩子在国内生病的事从来都是靠我们自己拿主意。虽说平时爷爷奶奶白天帮带孩子，但是一旦孩子病了，都是我带上医院，决定看什么医生之类的，老人上年纪了，这种事处理起来不如我们镇定
后来发现这似乎是刚来的这么大年纪孩子常见的问题。。。用了加湿器会改善，但是还是会出现
