Apply to Extend my mom's visitor stay

$ F8 r$ m" @- ]8 y! k( h" w  _My mom's visitor status in Canada is expiring. We are planning to apply for her extension. I did read the application package but have two questions:

% D0 |: K) t" N8 N- l1. The reasons for an extension. Can we use the reason: we want her help to take care of our new born baby? There are people say it is a bad reason. Is it true?
