Apply to Extend my mom's visitor stay

1 d% e; d1 E# N9 a5 S. G0 L: }My mom's visitor status in Canada is expiring. We are planning to apply for her extension. I did read the application package but have two questions:

, p4 n) |7 X! H& }- @1. The reasons for an extension. Can we use the reason: we want her help to take care of our new born baby? There are people say it is a bad reason. Is it true?

; o, V0 p2 Z* W; p1 G/ p2. In the Document Checklist - Visitor. Proof of means of support, as specified. Since we are taking care of her, what are the required documents for "proof of means of support"?
