Apply to Extend my mom's visitor stay

% i" \0 V6 S' I+ Y* r" L1 ZMy mom's visitor status in Canada is expiring. We are planning to apply for her extension. I did read the application package but have two questions:

3 w6 j( V& @. [7 s5 c- ?& `% U1. The reasons for an extension. Can we use the reason: we want her help to take care of our new born baby? There are people say it is a bad reason. Is it true?

3 d0 k4 A  ^) \+ _2 o2. In the Document Checklist - Visitor. Proof of means of support, as specified. Since we are taking care of her, what are the required documents for "proof of means of support"?
