Breast cancer

Lung cancer, the most preventable of all human cancers, continues to be the leading cause of cancer death in Alberta/N.W.T. for both men and women. In 2004, an estimated 1,620 people (840 men; 780 women) will be diagnosed with lung cancer and 1,410 people (740 men; 670 women) will die from it.8 e# `7 b4 y6 }* S& c- g

Colorectal cancer7 T: l( [* s# j6 E1 `1 e
Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in Alberta/N.W.T. for both men and women, though both incidence and mortality rates have declined steadily over the last decade and a half. In 2004, an estimated 1,480 people (820 men; 660 women) will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer and 570 people (330 men; 240 women) will die from it.
