Senior Agency/Program Manager

2 L3 M( }6 s: U( l8 v•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals
$ y0 I/ Q& H2 `9 R- m! `; m•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board
5 u$ ?" v& f( g8 a•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

•        is accountable for effective administration of agency

•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures
, K" B6 {, q; v' x•        development and management of the programs budget

Staff: E/ C8 H. j  E6 T8 ^' `
•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff/ `4 n0 `5 R/ K3 e! Q
•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers
" y6 o- W5 G1 K5 a. w9 @, ~6 ~' O# P+ ^•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
; S% u: U# Q5 m* i8 l5 i•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
) q8 S; J+ Q+ T3 h: _4 c: ^' E•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth
5 m6 [! O. R7 ?8 L•        meet with staff on regular basis
! q+ N& k7 _4 `- n7 B: L4 d! F•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff/ d' A3 k: o& k: a- W

Programs/Services
2 k9 T, s9 ^6 N, ~6 e% r1 g9 @•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
& T% V0 r" x2 ^% v. v, R•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
8 x0 I5 W3 V6 z# H7 f- `•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders/ g6 x0 [& `4 X3 c1 f1 a% m/ O- l
•        set program priorities and directions 7 `7 x1 D8 c& c6 q
•        identify community and user needs and trends
& K) r. r8 X3 g# q8 }•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends
: K8 c+ B2 Q0 Q•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research& i$ A, R0 F) ]5 {& w
•        maintenance of appropriate reporting% {1 Y# |3 L2 l) O
•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required
, H! D" `$ X& c! S•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development) w% B5 f& g7 z6 k$ s* K$ Q
•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others
! r( m% W  K" I, D  m  w' k: n; Q, n) L. G
External Relations5 W5 e" z6 C; p+ v( j
•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities6 e( T2 y& T# c! z
•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders
; z2 z; X0 A) {  e: A# ]% X•        communicate the value of the organization to the public
, S: V" g2 V0 v& B' i•        identify community needs and trends
2 h6 o% c  z$ V•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups$ f; ]. T2 m$ @+ a6 b& z, O
•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
$ M8 J1 Y3 w$ Y4 {4 T•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.* w* d7 z5 |2 w% ^- v9 R0 w& p, O2 p- S
•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff
0 t+ O# P8 w" Q# p& C0 h' I, ~7 K8 e3 R0 ^
Qualifications
$ ?/ V) l4 s; a) W! Q6 Z-        University degree in a related field; 5 Y! t4 ^& I: ]7 m
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
; c$ V! q7 `+ W5 J0 i1 X-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; 4 Z! h2 }4 @: W8 `
-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization * D) p2 Q* o( r6 ~

0 a; H5 ?1 _9 e' [Salary
9 d% U. R! v' t-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
8 |5 }9 k# P: l* [0 c; P9 a" D4 ~& n$ Z3 B) G
