• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities

• identify community and user needs and trends

9 X* `4 }" M) v• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

) N6 K) _7 }9 V/ B/ Z+ I) h# V• communicate the value of the organization to the public

& ~0 I3 D3 E5 V2 o9 k• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups- ]9 Y6 c3 s) Y. g7 ?' L
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
- h) T6 F' z# h I3 v; z• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

Qualifications
7 s% G+ E3 o) T- University degree in a related field; ; }- }6 }8 g! k" @9 o8 C
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
/ v+ ^' f) A5 [6 F, S- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; . H% I0 c9 q* s+ Q% I" X
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 7 Y8 \7 |0 V- ]8 Z+ G9 F4 Z0 x

Salary: g7 S4 c6 P( N9 t# f; {& v3 V
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 2 J( h0 |' o/ c/ {* R* S% B% X' Z
