Senior Agency/Program Manager

• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff/ `4 n0 `5 R/ K3 e! Q
• provide leadership to staff and volunteers

Programs/Services

& T% V0 r" x2 ^% v. v, R• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
8 x0 I5 W3 V6 z# H7 f- `• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders/ g6 x0 [& `4 X3 c1 f1 a% m/ O- l
• set program priorities and directions 7 `7 x1 D8 c& c6 q
• identify community and user needs and trends
& K) r. r8 X3 g# q8 }• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities6 e( T2 y& T# c! z
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
; z2 z; X0 A) { e: A# ]% X• communicate the value of the organization to the public
, S: V" g2 V0 v& B' i• identify community needs and trends
2 h6 o% c z$ V• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups$ f; ]. T2 m$ @+ a6 b& z, O
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
$ M8 J1 Y3 w$ Y4 {4 T• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.* w* d7 z5 |2 w% ^- v9 R0 w& p, O2 p- S
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

Qualifications
$ ?/ V) l4 s; a) W! Q6 Z- University degree in a related field; 5 Y! t4 ^& I: ]7 m
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
; c$ V! q7 `+ W5 J0 i1 X- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; 4 Z! h2 }4 @: W8 `
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization * D) p2 Q* o( r6 ~

9 d% U. R! v' t- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
