• provide opportunities for staff development and growth

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities

• set program priorities and directions

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends0 n3 A- U. H& I9 A

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
" q+ s @1 f1 c7 [" m& r8 I• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders( i( P! J; Z, z9 C! }* ]
• communicate the value of the organization to the public+ s/ u! L8 r6 p6 x0 Y5 `* u
• identify community needs and trends
5 X# r' E; [* O6 z" N6 b• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
" Q* A* a! M& `% j0 [+ W) P• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups: u1 F" c2 j! i
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

- University degree in a related field;
/ E" J2 C- W. R( ^- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
3 D: m- S: C |4 N* E+ q- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; i5 I! k9 ^6 e l6 X0 \, R
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization $ h' U$ ]! u) Q c! A

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
