First call for actors -- CSSA Evening Party for 2008 Chinese New Year

/ [) q0 u3 Z( {; s$ ^. c. q2 Q" LThe Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University5 S$ t5 K Y" z" F
of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the
; M9 [, A/ t" S# r( K+ q. n/ ? eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
" b9 R; f4 r% m: T! Y cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and
$ P& Z* p2 B$ K: n* O" L0 Z customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on- ^5 q' A: n* X+ t
this broad land.
7 I+ a. R. \# F9 B. m- y' I ( Q+ ^. i- b2 e) T. S& a
We encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to! p2 [; g( N2 F7 p
contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and
* V. }8 o m! n2 n$ |4 F talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in
/ P% R9 [6 v4 A: h# Q performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show$ i, g5 ^+ a; S1 H. n- o7 |
ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in/ Q L& o6 g) u. O8 l: f
Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a# X# d" j6 ^3 J! n! Q! @

As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs7 `. t9 m0 F2 p
sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),
, d# Y, ]: |% F: c$ j9 F& @* n) w stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any
+ x! }/ `8 z3 J" i! z: Q7 s performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your9 H& O4 U; e o
program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up# C4 W8 R5 S9 E' m% m
comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since8 x! U0 ]4 D, Q# S& Y
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.

) q7 K- x/ R' _/ D% cMeanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
, Y/ K C g4 A3 f on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system1 ~+ U/ l, G/ a6 M9 |
control.
