R" N. }: h, a: N2 gAs the Corporate Financial Co-ordinator within the Corporate Accounting and Reporting office of the Finance Branch, you will lead the year-end reporting functions within the City as well as the operating fund corporate accounting, and guide the development of related policy, procedures, and strategies. This includes:3 X* }) _$ U" W9 f8 }* G
7 {7 S# o' j3 {$ L2 G* I4 g5 k· Coordinating the completion of the annual consolidated financial statements, the Provincial municipal information return, and other financial reporting for audit.

· Providing advice within the organization and to related Boards and Authorities on options for resolution of financial and reporting issues.

· Research and coordination for implementation of new professional accounting and reporting requirements for municipalities.% l8 y9 m& R% l$ P8 n# N

· Leading the development of related policy and procedures, and internal training where required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· University Degree majoring in accounting or finance, and a Professional Accounting Designation.

· A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in the financial accounting and reporting field.

· Experience with complex computerized financial systems. Familiarity with SAP would be advantageous., r+ P$ K" g8 y( z4 f. Q- w

· Experience in preparing complex, consolidated financial statements for audit.
