INGREDIENTS:

1 |! P, j3 {9 _• 1 1/2 cups sifted flour ( if you don’t like the trouble, use all-purpose flour)
! W! O4 m; i( W. u8 l• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 7 [$ _. P( {" \% D2 R! A
• 4 eggs, well beaten

Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition.
1 s8 x$ K8 q5 |( w' \0 FTurn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. 7 w0 U0 z" ?% g2 l
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

I normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe.
