• 1/2 cup butter

1 H4 R6 t4 y* s" l* Z• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract( if you like the flavor)
0 @$ V5 `3 m1 D7 M• 1 1/2 cups sifted flour ( if you don’t like the trouble, use all-purpose flour)

PREPARATION:
% z3 F0 K1 e2 r2 H2 ]Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition.

I$ M1 P7 B, m+ ]# R e: l9 _Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.4 ^# W+ [8 o& B" q
