ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our

strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

7 |7 |( s( i7 s3 `Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
- Z2 V" y8 I; U3 C4 bobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
3 R: D! }9 N4 Vfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
. P) _3 Y4 t3 s3 prequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
# \  t. s; O. V; p# Mcloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
/ X9 b8 |0 V  u) K+ xthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
; {1 ]3 M- i" K% v( r7 eaccurate and complete research records.

5 r) G* n+ s4 V, x- a+ tfunding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
/ F7 K) C% O9 r4 ]salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
