ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
  m  @: C- N8 n* t$ S# Y" mstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
% ~5 A! f% B* y* h4 M& rto apply for government funding with us.

% P& `, g, D1 ~Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
  a' G. F& x$ o( Z# N8 ^% e6 i0 _) qfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
1 D* |6 u% y# A: A0 W: q! v* H4 brequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
7 `/ V+ r( t8 ^9 B. y! Lcloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
' k( E% W% R* e2 Iover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
