ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
; [- P% Z; J- arecombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

; S+ g7 V3 K  e* }) iQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
/ I" ~! a0 C6 o+ T% ~$ Rrelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
  q  S& J1 J* W; }. x9 V! Xcloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
; h; i! R+ Q  z* @4 iis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
9 @. S% Y3 \3 e4 b! jthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

; @" I" a7 K+ p/ PThis position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
