* x, H" Z6 \+ x+ s& BThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for1 f; S% \7 D: v! a7 o
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.2 n0 S# {2 g8 o g

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials* ~4 R8 {* T2 v" Y( X1 M
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different+ Y# j1 k8 I. q* X* \
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.2 F7 Q$ _3 X, X% w

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
