- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
; C4 t/ ~3 ^4 C. N, L/ G: N/ l- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
5 \; w0 N1 ?, f- D0 @+ j1 y' e _- Q- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:
! U( @; v/ ~% m# r0 i0 s- post secondary diploma
7 `! A. p( G4 ^2 L3 c- customer service and office clerical experiences

Job Description
. @, ^- J" T+ |- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community' }$ o: R8 {) Z% j
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services6 s; P- R& l$ Z
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services% V4 |- v0 U% O: L; Z
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
0 Z* j* g$ z- n3 b) }- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
8 l i( z: E4 O; \4 P+ `- update ASSIST website+ }& f5 j8 M6 Q w. \8 h
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre; P) w5 I% H( {( J- f
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
0 e8 M, `. ]' K: j# P# k" x- assist in writing proposal for ISP; R, A8 B' \ S& N" j% X# g. Q
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
% U: _6 ?# Z `4 N- hold regular meetings with ISP team
& i- m- J$ D* [! `' G1 w. }7 A9 `- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time/ g H1 o8 }& x
- update membership database, [3 t( H: u$ x; N
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications8 [9 g$ V( `- P3 l3 d8 g" |) r
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
% Y' T% V6 p, i- good oral and written Chinese and English skills4 w- B3 @$ ~" V
- experience in community work and immigrant services
