Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

+ O+ D4 l- {/ @5 m; Z- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker4 u0 d4 G \1 v. I; j2 [" Y0 A, ]
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team9 { [2 R5 L) k v; V8 @* J3 T

Qualifications:: V; t8 N8 z) j% m, p2 q, E1 ?8 p
- post secondary diploma 4 l' e3 ^8 T" ^
- customer service and office clerical experiences% C' M, j' L3 U# h
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

Job Description

- A7 d; S! U7 _" G. T, D# H2 l- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services# Z5 G+ j8 O+ W* W
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services+ D, t0 w' S8 J0 U9 }
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
% \4 _6 W) q3 R4 j% |' a8 f: P" i! j- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
/ C" o$ h1 V- r; W3 g3 B5 Q: D0 F- update ASSIST website
. X1 |" L( I: G7 K. Y- t9 V8 s- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre" y3 ^+ k% s W7 o- w
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
; F2 G. s. P% `2 I- assist in writing proposal for ISP. q4 l( O6 s! h! ]1 v
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
; h+ x i: O: E- M$ c- hold regular meetings with ISP team
" x& E2 _( f. g. F* u4 Z- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)+ o' Q! _7 P% e' N$ n
& ]* q& w" q) ~% s6 D% g' }& HQualifications
) `7 T* a/ | z$ C8 `- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education . p b' N2 k8 o! p4 [3 Z* @+ C
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills% B$ g/ k( V7 U6 x% m
- experience in community work and immigrant services
