Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

) w$ v* [8 k5 d3 o- ~- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly. V) }" g! `' ?6 L/ j/ Y! x% W
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
$ v/ \+ ~& P2 S) }! u7 |* d. E- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:3 n- x' ]& Y: S, R
- post secondary diploma
& p( b) M9 R3 T' |+ h+ @- customer service and office clerical experiences! A) X! W. i5 x$ X0 W
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset" i, t/ `& [1 F; ^# ?/ d8 U

Job Description
) B0 E; ?- W$ a+ i6 k- \- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community9 W& L- U2 @0 I+ t+ h
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
1 ^0 G! e h1 b6 x, m" B5 M/ m- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services" c% h+ V! n! u4 G% x
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
, L7 {& `. q3 U3 I- V7 G- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members9 I6 k D! T7 y. P' M& ]! _1 v) \
- update ASSIST website
T- r% h& Y6 X0 Z+ G- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre$ Y& F D3 g: A2 c% K: K; l
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
, w, W( }' b- P6 u- assist in writing proposal for ISP7 F. M3 i3 A+ @; f0 q+ q
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
1 f; J1 V( }. m: y) b3 }: L, `- hold regular meetings with ISP team( C; B7 T8 f' f9 \& h, g, J0 ?
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
) k4 R6 l" K7 Q) |5 f$ {) f# `7 F- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education - j* [3 x9 @; q' g2 {& S9 R$ n/ c
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
1 ]1 ^& C( s w) C6 S: k- experience in community work and immigrant services% N7 B2 k" E, ~3 _4 w2 \
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
