Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Job Description
& R* K2 N* l6 C& V5 U- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
) [! c: o. e! k; C7 H- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
6 U9 w4 E" O* K8 G- U4 E2 u% g) ^- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- post secondary diploma
) A9 Q% ~# d' Y; ^$ n- customer service and office clerical experiences

Job Description
1 [" a$ b6 \/ B" K$ g) \- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community. W6 \6 ?" ?( s$ T
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
" {' B. K& Y( V! E, |: g- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
/ o) W- K8 |% F3 h# o- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
, A" J8 a* w% x- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
' ^ Q5 N+ n* s- update ASSIST website
9 u" b6 H: w- u- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre3 G1 O1 |; m0 G, V
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
% D. Q. q4 v& Y: h- assist in writing proposal for ISP
/ q; Y& }- O; g# v3 i- write quarterly and final reports for ISP' O0 W) x# H9 X. O0 J8 _
- hold regular meetings with ISP team

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required). u* p" a1 m& e6 m, M
1 A+ ?9 K* x0 n; Y8 iQualifications
3 ^3 |9 b$ }% G- U6 n- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 7 g8 d' P6 y6 q# b
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
; i* s8 ~, ~2 Q: S+ b- experience in community work and immigrant services
