Hi. Can International student get driver's licence?

I 've heard some of my friends intend to get driver's licence this year.. I m just wondering if International student can get driver's licence,and i've checked some information on the internet. It says

Individuals must be legal residents of Alberta. To obtain an Alberta driver’s licence or identification card you must provide proof that you are lawfully entitled to live in Canada and that you live in Alberta. And if you are new to the province, you must apply for your Alberta driver’s licence within 90 days of moving here.

5 B) c7 h( ?1 V  [  j: RDoes it mean international student cant get DL?

我非常肯定地告诉你： yes you can!
在这个方面国际学生是作为resident的，我女儿就是国际学生，而且还是高中生，她已经拿到了这里的驾照。但是你得先考7号牌，就是learner driver's lincense，这时候可以驾车但需要有高级5号牌的人,或者持有效国际驾照的人（像我）坐在你旁边，拿7号牌后就可以预约教练考5号普通牌，拿下就可以单独驾车了。

You need to bring your study permit and passport to registry center.
Once you pass the  paper test of driving handbook, you can get Licence 7 shortly.
I have already gone throught this process as an international student.
