Idioms----I learned some idioms and made some sentence. Who can guess the meanin

He quit his job as soon as he  got an interview with a publishing company.. He really jumped the gun.$ t/ i7 R- _# p$ Z4 a
His wife saw he having lunch with a female client in a restaurant, she jumped the gun and accused him of having an affair. , @$ ~- J4 @+ K8 ^
Hold your horses, otherwise you may make a mistake.
) J6 g4 S) C/ t  BYou won’t get burned by choosing our product.
. u' f- o; |2 P9 _' ]He wants to have his cake and eat it, but there is no doubt that he won’t be successful without hard working.6 h9 r( l4 Y3 b0 c
They were supposed to win, but Jim blew it. Eventually they took second place in the game..' E2 ~4 y" W! l" Y( p& _3 q2 h& O8 R
My goodness! We have to be back to square one because we get the wrong direction.4 @+ j  W' I- S( ]7 b9 d. g
The method you used in your work is off base, I hope you have your job redone.' k6 G9 E7 `4 n# \% P, k- p8 C5 T

About one year ago I met a girl in university, I slept with her after our first date, we really jumped the gun and had a good time as well. However, when I proposed to her, she said, "Hold your horses", it turned out she was married! Obviously, I would get burned if her husband knew about our affair, so I told her explicitly, "You can't be married and single, you can't have your cake and eat it, too!",  I was very upset, coz I was expecting a serious relationship, but she blew it! She had a family, she even had a son, she just cheated on me, that is way off base! After I broke up with her, I have to be back to square one and look for a new relationship.

mostly good, but I don't think the "get burned" and "blew it" is used properly here.
